BIAW is a non-profit organization that provides education, advocacy, prevention, information & resources, and support services to brain injury survivors, their families, and the people who serve them throughout Wisconsin. The mission is the prevention of brain injury and the full participation in life for individuals with brain injury.

A non profit clearinghouse founded and operated by head injury survivors since 1985. It is a place where visitors can get information, join a discussion group, build advocacy skills, and self-care skills. The site integrates resources from diverse organizations including support groups, rehabilitation, and research sites, as well as lay and professional journals and more.

North American Brain Injury Society (NABIS)
NABIS is a society comprised of professional members involved in the care or issues surrounding brain injury. The principal mission of the organization is moving brain injury science into practice. Whether it is in the area of clinical care, research, policy or litigation, the organization stands behind the premise that advances in science and practices based on application of the scientific evidence will ultimately provide the best outcomes for those with brain injuries and the community as a whole.
